Over the years, we've had the honor of hearing stories from our queer and trans community that cracked our hearts wide open. Stories shared in trust, in love, in the quiet safety of being seen. And we’ve realized something deeply important:
Even as strong allies, we didn’t know what we didn’t know—until we really started listening.
Because when we see each other, we can begin to love more deeply.
And when we know better, we can do better.
We are calling upon our queer followers
to send us physical media in the form of a postcard or letter to highlight the diversity, complexity, and beauty of queer experiences within our region.
You may share anything from warm words to hopes and wishes, to recipes-the inclusion of artwork is highly encouraged (illustration, poetry, photography, anything goes)
In exchange, each participant in the collective will potentially have their media featured on our page, and each entry will receive a handwritten card and goodies from Mama Bear.
Your submission acts as consent for us to share your message, although you may absolutely remain anonymous if desired.
Each 'snippet' will provide just a small peek into the queer/trans experience - but viewed as an unfiltered collection, we hope to encourage a deeper, truly honest acknowledgment of the LGBTQ folk's resilience.
